The Somerset Long Bay, located at the West Side of the island is secluded and is great for walking along trails, especially the nearby nature reserve. This family-friend beach and park has a playground, some bathrooms and great picnic areas, while the surrounding reserve has trails to freshwater ponds that attract migrating birds during the spring and fall.

The reserve area is managed by the Audubon Society, which has worked to replant some of Bermuda’s native trees such as the Bermuda Cedar and the Palmetto. Along this coast, you will find a good stretch of beach that rarely gets crowded, with calm and shallow water.
